JJ Mulkerns, “The Rajah of Frongoch”
Don’t miss RTE’s Sunday Miscellany programme this Easter Monday, to be broadcast 9:00am-10:00am, when Val Mulkerns joins other writers and musicians for a programme dedicated to reflections on 1916 as part of RTE’s centenary commemorations.
Val will read an essay about her father’s experiences in Frongoch Prison Camp and the 1916 Rising.
The show will also feature songs of the period performed by the RTE Contempo Quartet, tenor Morgan Crowley and Iarla O’Lionáird.
The show precedes the launch in the first week of May 2016 of the Author’s new book, Memory and Desire, which is a selection of her published short stories. Check back soon for more details.
